EPF Members are the world’s leading political economy think tanks from emerging and industrial economies out of the G20, such as BRICS, Turkey, Vietnam, Indonesia and other countries. Member think tanks share the desire and capability to shape domestic and global policies. They are convinced that by sharing their experiences and jointly working on policy recommendations, they can better inform policy-making in their respective countries.

Member think tanks are at the core of EPF: they propose and decide on new topics, design the research agendas, coordinate the Policy Initiatives and related activities, and jointly set the strategic direction of EPF.

  • AISA | Africa Institute of South Africa

    AISA was established in 1960 as a non-profit organisation. Today it is a statutory body following the Africa Institute of South Africa Act. AISA has become involved in community outreach programmes contributing to provide maps and other resources to under-privileged schools in rural South Africa. AISA has undertaken to promote knowledge creation as a fundamental part of development and growth for Africa and as such aims to encourage research as a career choice for young people as they leave school.

  • CEBRI | Centro Brasileiro de Relações Internacionais

    CEBRI is a think tank that aims at developing knowledge and promoting debate on topics of international relations, offering subsidies to policy makers. It also seeks to foster the dialogue between different players from both the public and private realms, aiming at a better understanding of the international agenda as well of Brazil’s role in the global setting. Located at Rio de Janeiro, CEBRI was conceived by a group of diplomats, business leaders and scholars, and functions with an independent, multidisciplinary and nonpartisan structure. The Center publishes a number of periodical publications, produces multimedia content and also develops projects that result in studies, policy papers and reports. CEBRI also organizes lectures, workshops, conferences, seminars, round tables, task forces and study groups.

    CESD was set up in 2005 and is a leading Azerbaijani think tank.
