The value of trade in clean technology related services has more than quintupled over the last decade, while global trade in clean technologies increased 60% from 2006 to 2016. Increasing trade in clean technologies promotes economic development, job creation and innovation while simultaneously fostering economic and climate resilience. A holistic approach to tackling the barriers to clean technologies trade could help developing countries further harness clean technology trade opportunities.
