Cleantech Innovation Is Being Stifled. Here’s How to Unlock It

An overwhelming majority of climate scientists are calling for immediate action to drastically reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. But progress is way too slow, considering the short time that remains to avoid catastrophic consequences of anthropogenic climate change. One reason is that infrastructure in industrialised and emerging economies is caught in a structural carbon lock-in. Cleantech development efforts to decarbonise human activities are behind schedule in nearly all major segments.
